Kendell is a Licensed Master Social Worker, licensed in Michigan to diagnose and provide treatment for mental health disorders and counsel individuals experiencing emotional and behavioral concerns. As the previous manager of clinical services for juveniles, Kendell is very experienced working with adolescents who struggle with emotional and behavioral challenges. Kendell’s professional experience includes helping adolescents and adults who have experienced trauma, grief, mental health disorders, and people who want to strengthen their relationships or improve their life. Kendell considers herself a skills-based therapist, using evidence-based treatment methods such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Kendell holds a specialty in Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT) from the Institution for Human-Animal Connection (IHAC) at the University of Denver School of Social Work. This specialty includes being able to provide both equine and canine-assisted therapeutic interventions. Kendell enjoys her hobby farm where she spends her free time with her flock of ducks, three equine partners, the barn cats, and Kodiak, the Newfoundland service dog.
